GetGo: How to Earn Free Flights with Cebu Pacific

Gone are the days where you have to spend thousands of money to book a plane ticket. Thank goodness to the budget airlines which offers affordable plane tickets, traveling is made easier and way more budget friendly that will not leave a hole in our pocket. But did you know that you can actually book a plane ride for FREE. Yes, you read it right, you can score a free plane ticket, lemme tell you how.

Almost all businesses offers a loyalty program nowadays. For instance, department stores offers a rewards card in which you’ll earn points every time you shop or buy your groceries. Those points will then be accumulated and can be used as a payment on your next shopping provided that you’ve reached the minimum number of points required. Even spas or salons also offers the same. Personally I’m a member of all three rewards program. You know, I have a hobby of collecting cards and whenever there’s an opportunity to get free services/products, expect me to sign up on it. We need to be practical nowadays and if you are always traveling might as well sign up on these rewards program to earn free flights.

What is GetGo?

GetGo is a lifestyle rewards program launched last 2015 which allows Cebu Pacific travelers to accumulate points on cebu pacific ticket purchases and everyday spending ( on groceries, utilities, gasoline, credit card purchases and many more). Since then the program has grown and partnered with many establishments which enables eveyJuan to earn points which can be use to redeem free flights.

How does it work? Whats in it for me?

Same concept applies with your Puregold suki card or SM advantage card, every time you shop you earn corresponding points. In the airlines’s case, every time you book a plane ticket you earn points and once you have reached the number of points required, use it to purchase an airline ticket. As simple as that. But this doesn’t really apply to everyone, if you only travel once or twice a year then you won’t really benefit much from it. This is usually very useful for travelers, like me that’s why I have all three :). Not only you can earn points which can be used to book a plane ride, being a member also allows you to have exclusive access to their promotions, seat sales and insider deals! Whenever there’s a seat sale, they usually let their members book a ticket first, at least an hour before the sale becomes available to everyone, so that’s a good way of beating the crowd, right. Sometimes local airline companies also offers seat sale exclusively for their members. There are many other ways aside from earning points on your ticket purchases. How to sign up and start earning GetGo points.

There are four ways to sign-up and be a getgo member.

2. Thru email: contactus@GetGo.com.ph
3. Via Phone Call: 714-3846 (71GetGo)
4. Thru SMS: Send an SMS to 0922-114-3846 (0922 11GetGo) in this message format:

• getgo,reg,first name,last name,dob(mmddyyyy),email
• Example: getgo,reg,david,cruz,01011970,d.cruz@gmail.com

There is a one time P150 registration fee inclusive of the card. Once you are successfully enrolled, you will be assigned a membership number sent to your registered email address and you can start earning points then. Your GetGo membership card will be delivered within 20 business days. I received mine within 7 days :).

How can I redeem my GetGo points?

You can redeem your GetGo points for a flight, including taxes and ad-ons with Cebu Pacific Air or Cebgo. Just log in to the GetGo website or contact GetGo Team at 714-3846 (71GetGo). Minimum points required to redeem a flight varies according to seasonality, demand, time of booking, destination or other factors and is subject to change anytime. The good thing about GetGo points is that you can use it to pay for taxes, baggage allowance and other fees associated with your flight booking. 

What if I have insufficient points to redeem a flight? No worries, the remaining points needed in your flight booking can be converted into cash payment and you can pay thru credit or debit card or other available form of payments. Aside from that, you can also pool points from your friends and/or family members by creating a GetGo Earning Circle.
